Welcome to the High Ground Men's Ministry! 

High Ground Men's Bible and Ski Conference started at Beaver Creek, Colorado in 1988 for the purpose of lifting up the name of Jesus and encouraging one another in our walk with the Lord while enjoying some great skiing.  Our organization continues to exist for the purpose of equipping men to become mature spiritual leaders in their home, church and business.  

    Scott Slater is the Director of the High Ground Conference since 2024 and has been involved in leading High Ground Conferences with the previous long time leader Randy Denton since 2017.  He was first invited to the Conference over 20 years ago.

Scott is retired from Fidelity Investments in 2023, where he helped independent wealth management firms build and scale their enterprises.  He and his wife, Karen, have two adult children and live in Minneapolis and Edwards, Colorado.
